1.When Lot hesitated

• When it was time for decisive action

• When the judgment of God was imminent - Genesis 19:14-15, 22

2.Why Lot hesitated

• He made wrong decisions earlier in life - Genesis 13:5-11

• He found his fellowship with sinners - Genesis 13:11-13

• His treasures were now all in Sodom

• Matthew 6:19-21

• Maybe he felt he was too old

3.Many are hesitating like Lot

• They know more truth than they live - Acts 26:24-28

• They believe in heaven but don't long for it

• They build their lives around things below - Luke 12:16-21

• They know time is short but live as if it were long - Psalm 39:5-6
